ALCO’s pressure vessel and structural steel facilities enable us to engage in all aspects of structural steel and vessel fabrication. ALCO employs a skilled workforce that consists of a core group of experienced, dedicated, and forward thinking tradespeople that handle a base load of work. As work flows cycle, ALCO human resources group draws on local and international labour pools. ALCO is firmly established in steel construction and constantly ensures that the right skill set is on the floor to adequately manage any and all incoming work.

ALCO’s hook-up and assembly shop is a state of the art building that is designed with efficiency in mind. With an under hook height of 45 feet, ALCO can assemble almost any size of modularized gas plant. Just like ALCO’s vessel fabrication facilities, this shop has its own skilled work force that is committed to producing a top quality product. All pipe spooling is completed in this shop and is manufactured according to the requirements of ASME B31.1 and 31.3.

Specifics:

ALCO’s pressure vessel and structural steel shop spans 50,000 sq. ft. and boasts six overhead cranes ranging in capacity from 10 tons to 20 tonnes.

ALCO’s hook-up facilities spans nearly 50,000 sq. ft. and boasts four overhead cranes each with two 25 tonne hoists.

ALCO’s office area is 11,000 sq. ft. and is conveniently located right beside the fabrication facilities to ensure close communications between the fabrication and engineering.

ALCO’s yard and laydown area cover 18 acres. Alco has several mobile cranes and forklifts to facilitate the moving and loading of equipment.

Engineering

ALCO’s capable engineering group is fully integrated to completely engineer any modularized gas or oil production equipment. ALCO’s project and enginnering group includes expertise in process, mechanical, instrumentation, and project engineering. In addition to engineering in house work for modularization, ALCO can offer engineering services that include detailed cost estimates, feasibility analysis for new projects and debottlenecking, detailed engineering design, as well as plant performance analysis.

ALCO is an industry leader in the engineering and modularization of gas processing equipment including dew point control plants, deep cut LPG recovery plants, amine plants, fractionation facilites, process heaters, separators, and dehydration units.

To any customer, no matter what location or for what use a plant is to be designed for, ALCO’s engineering group can rely on it’s ability and experience to produce a product that is unequaled by any others in terms of engineering design and innovation.
